Exclamation Racism and harassment in game

About 15 minutes ago, I got so mad that I logged out of game and came here.

The reason being that, in the international district, several people were casually flinging around racist and religious remarks, and joking about it. I sent an email to [email protected], but is this the right address? That's what someone told me to report to.

Also, I'm not using my game account email. Will they look at this email? Do I need to include screenshots? I didn't capture any. Or a chat log. I can copy and paste the letter in here, but I don't know what good that would do me.

I really hate it when people mouth off like that. I don't think there is any room for that sort of thing anywhere, much less a game to have fun in. It really makes me mad when people can hide behind a computer screen and type that sort of thing.

Yes, you need screenshots. If they didnt require screenshots, then you could just rant about anyone you didnt like to get them in trouble, and others could do the same to you.

As for racists etc, I hear ya, but its not worth letting your blood pressure rise. There are alot of ignorant asses in the world, and the internet brings out the worse in those morons. If you cant learn to just realize they are tuckfarded, its best you give up online gaming all together, cause online gaming isnt worth a coronary.

Yeah, unfortunately that's just the way some people are, seems to be even moreso in games though. Maybe you should just try doing what everyone else I know does: expand your chat window by clicking that little button, then uncheck "Local" and "Trade." There goes a good ~90% of the offensive, racist, and unintelligent banter

You can report any rules violations at the Guild Wars site - just click the "support" link there and submit a report, making sure to set it to "Rules violation".

If you don't have any screenshots, the best thing you can do is tell them the following:

- what town/area you were in
- who was breaking the rules
- say what they said
- What time this happened (your time)
- Your date
- your TimeZone
- Your character used.

Basically with this information they should be able to go over any logs they might have of the situation. Screenshots would definately have been a bonus, but I think they have their own logs of some kind. At least let them know who did what and when... thats all you can do really.

If someone pss's me off, I just add them to my Ignore list, also spam the name you are ignoring & why you are doing so, ppl tend to keep there opinions to themselvs if nobody is talking to them.

The list of people who weren't would probably be shorter .

I was there, personally it was cracking me up except a few people who really seemed to hate the races they were making fun of.

There seemed to be a lot of hatred towards jews there....

ya, ive seen a bit of racism in some of the towns (mainly towards koreans), I just do my best to ignore them... however it makes me mad that some people get that serious about losing the favor of the gods...
